You can’t record the MIDI sequence into the looper-recorder but you can use the looper-recorder while sequencing the pulsar via MIDI. Only “manually played” steps will be recorded.
Hi,
Pulsar 23 does not manage midi start/stop. In external midi mode it starts as soon as it receives a running clock so the behaviour depends on how works the synth that controls it.
Some synths send the clock only while the sequencer is running (like Ableton) others send continuously the clock while they’re on (like Elektrons, 505, etc) so it will trigger the Pulsar as soon as it is plugged and turned on.
Yes! By connecting “BD OUT” to one of the 1/4 jacks pind you link the BD to an individual out.
> BD VOL knob still controls BD level going through master output
> BD FX knob still control BD sent level to FX and going through master output
If you need to control the BD level going through the individual out, you can connect an attenuator between BD OUT and the 1/4 pin.
Human readable version of my post above:
Since I haven’t find patch sheet for the PULSAR 23, I made a draft one!
If interested, you can find the PDF version with different formats (4 per page / 2 per page / 1 per page) through this link: https://medias.audiofanzine.com/files/pulsar23-patchsheet-483402.pdf
And here are some “ready to print” image formats.

All my post and comments are going to “This post is awaiting moderation.” plus the format is unreadable once published and can’t be edited ><
Sorry for the hassle but I don’t really understand what’s going on.
