    Hi Dave,

No, this will yield no effect, as the adapter does not convert anything, it’s just connectors and ground. The adapter works only with Ornament, and Ornament is the only sequencer capable of sending the type of signal Lyra needs (it’s not CV). Lyra does not work with CV signals.

    Best Regards,

I believe you are perhaps confusing two different things here? Pulsar’s voices require 10v trigger signals to reach full velocity, this has nothing to do with the audio output.

The audio output levels are standard like any other analog synth. If the audio level is not to your liking, I advise using an attenuator between Pulsar and Eurorack.

Wrong all the way Tom 🙂 It’s forgivable since Lyra has a unique design.

The best way to describe it is that Ornament simulates your finger closing the circuit of a Lyra voice, by sending a unique and very weak electrical signal which is nothing like CV/Gate. No other sequencer is capable of creating and sending this type of signal.

Lyra was built to be played, not sequenced, that’s basically the logic behind its design.

You might as well connect the 0-control directly to Lyra, it will yield the same result as connecting it to the adapter, i.e. no result:)

No, the 0 control is not a working substitute. You would not be happy with the results.

Lyra’s voices cannot be controlled via control voltage. The only way to somewhat integrate Lyra with eurorack and semimodular synths and sequencers is through the Ornament and the adapter. The adapter itself does not convert anything, it’s just connections. The Ornament can be synched to your 0-control and also be triggered by it. Ornament accepts CV and pulse triggers, Lyra does not. Only Ornament can trigger Lyra.

In the morning I prefer a lower volume on QO, but in the afternoon or evening a really loud QO helps to drown out the “noise” of the day and calm my mind. It is soothing despite the loud volume, and helps in reestablishing a connection again with my inner world.

    Hi trojer,

That’s really funny about your kid. Maybe you just found a new market for QO as child sleep aid.

I am also just a novice QO user. I have experienced some of the physical experiences you describe. I can get tingles or almost bassy vibrations that will start in my legs and move their way up. I guess it’s a synesthesia experience, feeling the sound somehow.
