I’ve been falling in love with the Pipe after hearing an amazing demo at Roma Modulare, courtesy of the very capable and musical Glenn.
I’ve been lucky enough to find a used Pipe, which is expected to hit my door within this week and i was wondering if it’s advised buying a new mic for hygienic reasons. Have no idea how much of a contact is happening.

It’s impossible to say how the previous owner used his Pipe, with heavy intense use some saliva can definitely enter the mic. Whether this poses a health issue again depends on the previous user. Most likely there is no health risk, as saliva dries and bacteria die after a while. You can use alcohol wipes to wipe the exterior.
New mics cost 30 EUR plus shipping and VAT, and can be ordered directly from [email protected]
thank you, this is what I suppose. I will evaluate the situation better once the Pipe will be in my hands.
Will probably take the chance to buy some alternative mics.
