<span class=”jCAhz ChMk0b”><span class=”ryNqvb”>Hi everyone!</span></span><span class=”jCAhz ChMk0b”><span class=”ryNqvb”> I bought a Dvina a few days ago and, surprisingly, have a few questions. :)</span></span>
1. A question about the strings: the instructions say “By default, DVINA comes with Flatwound cello strings installed: 1st — 0.25 and 2nd — 0.30.” But I measured the strings and they are 0.73mm and 0.89mm. Even if we consider the missing zero in the description to be an error, that would be 0.029 and 0.035 inches, respectively, which doesn’t match the instructions. What’s the correct answer? Is the error in the description or in the strings I got from the store?
2. <span class=”jCAhz ChMk0b”><span class=”ryNqvb”>When I play the first string with my fingers, holding it down, it vibrates a little. Is this okay?</span></span> <span class=”jCAhz ChMk0b”><span class=”ryNqvb”>When I use a bow, I also feel a slight vibration.</span></span> <span class=”jCAhz ChMk0b”><span class=”ryNqvb”>The second, thicker string doesn’t vibrate and plays cleanly.</span></span>
3. Should the neck be perfectly straight, or is a slight curve between the nut and the first dot of the fretboard normal? Is there a truss rod or something similar inside the body for strength and to adjust the curve, like in guitars?
