First off, I should say I love the Lyra 8. It’s one of my favorite instruments and the time it takes to tune is just part of its charm.

However, recently I’ve been trying to tune the Lyra very precisely when recording, and it’s a pain. Ever since I got it a year ago, I’ve wondered about the possibility of a fine tune mod. Just a second smaller knob next to each of the existing knobs that has very fine tuning control.

Has anyone tried a mod like this? Would it be an easy mod?

Or just any tips for fine tuning?

You could replace the tuning pots with multiturn ones. People have done this, check “Lyra-8 pot mod”.
