Having Trouble with Firmware Update and/or USB

well, I bought the sandisc Cruiser that worked for you, and it still is not recognised. I contacted support and they replied to ask wehter I have access to a windows computer, because the problem might be mac related. I’m starting to get pissed off now.

Update report: until today I have received ZERO mails from the EU division. Remarkable, to say the least. US division is answering my mails.

I have managed to get hold of a HP laptop with windows 11. Formatted 3 disks, of 1GB, 8GB and 16GB and loaded the firmware on those. Not recognised by Flux.

I suspect there is something wrong with my flux. And if it turns out there isn’t, the firmware update process needs some serious checking.

update. US branch is the one responsible for technical issues, so that is why the EU branch doesn’t reply apparently. We are troubleshooting but it still is not solved.

I’ve got the same problem. None of the USB sticks I’ve tried so far have been recognised.
That’s why I sent the first Flux back. The second one has the same problem.
Saying here, ‘just keep trying until you find one’, isn’t helpful – in fact, it’s very frustrating.
It’s also become difficult to find low-capacity sticks these days.

The Yamaha 4GB you mentioned: where are you supposed to buy one? I’ve never heard of Yamaha producing USB sticks.
Certainly not in Germany.

I finally succeeded to upload the new firmware. They eventually sent me a stick that worked. For some reason I could not make the firmware load onto a properly formatted usb drive. I tried 6 different sticks, tried to buy really old ones, but they just didn’t work. Not on my mac, or on a friends computer (windows 11)
