Hey all! I’ve had my ROAT for a couple months and was really enjoying it as a little chaos-maker, but I fear he’s fallen ill. I inadvertently left it on for a couple days. The LED got very dim and it wasn’t producing much sound which I felt made plenty of sense since I’d almost certainly run down the batteries. But I’ve just put in a fresh set of AAAs, tested and they’re all fresh and reading over 1.5v and I’ve also double and triple checked that they’re the correct orientation, but the LED isn’t even coming on now, none of the buttons have any effect, and the only sound is a low frequency oscillation tone if I crank the volume up over halfway. Is this thing really toast just from leaving it on till the batteries drained or is there some troubleshooting I can do? Not finding any similar issues on the forums so far.

        Hi Art,

It sounds like the RoAT may have sustained some damage, I would recommend reaching out via email to see about having it repaired. Sounds like there could be some issue with the internal voltage regulator.

If you are in the US, try contacting [email protected] and we can see about getting it running again.
