Is anyone using the Cosmos with Terra? I love the idea of Cosmos, but it seems to me that it would be best with live acoustic sounds (bowed, blown and struck, and sung) rather than electronic sounds (even sounds as variable as Terra can create).
Not to sound too cheesy, but the Terra and Cosmos go together like bread and butter.
Hahaha! And it’d be sourdough bread, of course.
I joined the Facebook group, and found a Terra+Cosmos video there which was helpful. I’m back home next week, so I’m first going to try out using the Terra with my existing gear (S4 and Tempera) and then we’ll see. (I was somewhat spurred into this by the announcement that prices would be going up in the new year.)
I’ve come to think of Terra and Cosmos as one instrument – they go so well together
Generally, I like single notes with short decay in the Cosmos’ 6 different delay line algorithms. Sustained chords turn into all kinds of fun in the granular algorithms. And what doesn’t sound great in an “insanely super huge hall” (reverb algorithms)?
