      Hello everyone,

      I connected a torso electronics  T-1 clock out to a Soma Pulsar-23 via one of the 8 jack-ins:
      how to get rid of the annoying beeeeeep sound? Any hints? Anyone having this with other equipment?

        Ouké, interesting:

        it appears to be the T-1 powered via USB onto the Mac M1 gives that beeeeep. While the T-1 powered via a USB-power supply is working without any beeeep. I’ll give that info to torso electronics…

          This person also complained about noise from the T1 clock out

          «I only found some issue yesterday about some noise issues when connected to eurorack for sending clock/reset to Make Noise René..
          It’s like a pulsating noise that get into eurorack audio signal. Did anyone have same issue?»

          maybe you can try MIDI out instead?

          I’d look at the clock signal on my oscilloscope to see if it’s clean and correct.

            <div>Yes, the high-pitched beep is likely due to a ground loop caused by the T-1 being powered via USB from your Mac M1. Ground loops are a common issue when connecting USB-powered devices to audio gear, especially when they share different grounding paths.

            </div>
            <div>Your fix—powering the T-1 from a separate USB power supply instead of the Mac—works because it prevents the unwanted ground current flow.

            </div>
            <div>Other potential solutions:</div>
            <div>•Use a ground loop isolator between the T-1 and Pulsar-23.</div>
            <div>•Ensure all gear is powered from the same source (same power strip) to minimize ground differentials.</div>

                Update: the beep is not coming from the Pulsar but appears to be the T-1 if connected via USB to my Mac Mini M1. Because if the T-1 is connected to a power supply instead — no beep is to be heard…

                So case closed.

                If I find out anything from torso electronics, I will post it here.

                  torso electronics also says «it seems to be a ground loop».
