My Enner has a trigger (I think) input next to the tempo knob. What source makes tempo changes work? 5 Volt?

<p dir=”ltr”>try using a mono cable with a small stereo adapter, don’t insert it all the way, put the time knob at 12 o’clock. For me it works with the beat sync of the glou glou looper.  I don’t know why but it works.</p>

I am also struggling to get the clock input to respond.
The light goes off and the left-side pads stop working.
What is the optimal source for the clock signal?

Hi All,

The tempo input is a switched jack, so inserting a cable disconnects the internal clock from the divider.

The input directly feeds the divider, so it must be a fast clock around +10V, so most eurorack 5V clock signals will not work.

The LEDs are connected to the 2 slowest divisions (/32 and /64), so if the clock connected is not very fast, it will take quite a few pulses before the LEDs light.

Switched jack and 10V, sounds like the pulse the Pulsar23 outputs. Could you please provide some advice on connecting the Pulsar23’s CLK signal to the Enner, can it be done, the jack requirements, so if we have a switch jack in our hands we know how check if it meets the Soma specifications. I have both the Enner and the Pulsar23.

I’m using the 1/8″-to-turret adapter on the P23 to send CLK to the Enner (P23 is slaved to MIDI clock).. it’s working fine, but it seems to me that Enner, while in sync, plays back at half speed..

That being said, I also tried triggering the Enner from my Buchla (which sends a +10v pulse), but Enner didn’t seem to like that too much.

I’ve had my Enner for less than a week now, so I’m continuing with my experiments (might be a good idea to scope exactly the type of signal that P23 outputs)

The clock input jack of the Enner is a switched jack, so connecting an external clock disconnects the internal clock source.

The clock runs directly to a divider and does not provide a /1 output, so all the pads will be a division of the clock, not the original clock rate. That is why it is playing back at half speed.

The Enner seems to like clocks with approximately 50% duty cycle, if the buchla is sending a very short trigger pulse that may be why it is acting strange.
