Hey folks,

I’ve been loving my SOMA Lyra8-FX module for a few months, but it suddenly stopped behaving as expected and I’m trying to figure out what went wrong.

With the Mix/Distortion knob set to 0, there’s no output at all, regardless of the other settings. When I raise the distortion/mix, I start to hear the delayed and distorted version of the input signal — but still no clean dry in the mix at all. It basically acts like a global volume knob controlling only the dual-wet path.

Here’s what I’ve checked so far:

Input level knob is not at zero.

Tested at delay mix acoss the range— at 0% there’s silence above this I only get the distorted/delayed output (no dry, and only if the distortion/mix is >0).

Delay Out jack produces no signal at all.

Delay time and feedback controls do affect what I hear when distortion is raised, so the delay circuit itself seems alive.

Verified the wires used for input and output

Pulled the module and checked for obvious damage or burnt components — none found.

Reseated the four socketed chips on the back — still the same issue.

So at this point it seems like the dry path is dead or not being routed correctly to the output. Has anyone experienced similar symptoms or have ideas on how to further troubleshoot this? Could it be a failed mix pot, op-amp, or something in the dry routing?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Oh gosh, that formatting is awful. My apologies for using an external program for proofreading and not realizing it would add all the HTML to my post. It didn’t show up in the WYSIWYG editor here.
