Is the Ext input on the Lyra-8 mono? Is it okay to run a TRS into it?

I’ve tried a few combinations to run the Ether output into the Lyra-8 Ext input and it’s very quiet. I tried running TRS from the Ether into a TRS to dual TS splitter and running one channel into the Lyra and it’s still very quiet. Any suggestions?

      Thanks

I tried replying to this a month ago, but I included a link and now the post is stuck awaiting moderation.

I use a hosa CMP-105 cable and get good results.

I use a 3.5mm TRS to 1/4 inch TS for this and get good volume. I’m pretty sure the input is mono and unbalanced, so using a TRS would make it quiet. I would think you could get good volume from using a TRS to dual TS splitter, though. But maybe try the cable I suggested.

This is the cable I use – https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/CMP105–hosa-3.5-mm-trs-to-1-4-inch-ts-mono-interconnect-cable-5-foot
