Transposing keyboard should affect new new notes only

Hi everyone, new Terra user, learning my way around. Question please:

 

When I transpose the entire keyboard, how do I stop the notes that are playing from transposing at the same time? The way it works makes it impossible to play meaningful melodies that require the keyboard to transpose because it transposes notes that are already playing which isn’t logical to me.

If you think about a normal MIDI keyboard, hold a chord then do an octave shift button, the octave change only happens on new notes which is what I would expect Terra to do.

Any advice please?
