No effects without recording a loop?

Is it only possible to use the effects by recording? Can’t hear any effect at all without recording. Bought it new and just started testing it.

The reverb does not sound as a reverb at all, could it be something wrong with it?

Hi Thomas,

Cosmos algorithms only start working once you’ve recorded audio into its memory and you turn the Mix knob past 12 o clock. The rhythmic firmwares have different functionality and offer reverb (by turning the Blur knob) without recording, but the rest of the Cosmos effects will only work once you’ve recorded into it.
